June 23, leaving Montreal. We drove to the First Nations Reserve near Sagamok..... and rented a room in the beautiful "gem" cabin "Foxy's on the lake", hidden in the forest. The directions to the cabin were given to us by our gracious host and even though it was a maze until we got there, it was quite an adventure right at the beginning of our trip!! When we first arrived there, it was 11:30pm and everything was so dark we couldn't see past the terrace. We quickly unpacked and went to bed. Early in the morning we hear sounds around the cabin - it sounded like hooves so we right away jumped out of bed and started looking around through the windows, hoping to spot a deer. I went on the terrace and I was surprised to walk out to this amazing view. I was speechless and breath-taken by the vast spreading of the lake in front of me. It was absolutely stunning and I had a permanent smile on my face :)
