We woke up very early in the morning. I hadn't slept much during the night– I was cold, uncomfortable and my body was aching everywhere. Gabi was awake and waiting for me to wake up. I called her to come over in my bunk bed and we snuggled together. I was happy we slept a bit more. After we got up we made another trip back to the service center to use the bathroom. At the same time, we picked up a few camping items from our car like the gas stove and some food. The evening before Gabi had suggested that we rent bikes and use them for our main transportation and I thought it was a brilliant idea :) The center was opening at 8 AM and it was just 7:30 AM. We decided to bring back the food items, have breakfast and then come back to get the bikes. I made my very cherished cup of coffee, we had a quick bite and then we got the bikes.
It was fun riding the bikes with Gabi – I think it was our first time riding bikes together.
We rode around the bike trail for a while and then decided to go down to our beach and spend sometime there.

We took a walk along the shore and collected little rocks. While sitting on the bench enjoying the lake we saw a few monarch butterflies and an eagle! I wasn't fast enough to take a picture of it but it was still quite amazing. We came back to the hostel for lunch and we ate the eggs I had cooked it in the morning. After lunch we went on a longer bike ride and explore the area. Then we made our plans for the afternoon.
We biked to the service center and stopped for ice cream and a quick charge of our phones. I looked online at tents to buy on our way to Gaspé the day after After the quick rest we left the bikes at the center, got in the car and went to the showers/restroom location – after all the bug spray we used on us during both days we were quite sticky and needed a shower. Once we got to the showers, we found out that we needed coins to be able to use them so I drove quickly back to the service center to get coins and facilitate our cleanup. We enjoyed greatly this little treat and very efficiently used up the time we had. 4 25 cents coins were providing 4 min of showering time. For 1.50$ we both were able to clean up pretty well. We took turns showering and at the same time we charged our phones so that we were able to use them for the evening. While one person was showering - the other was watching over the phones. After the showers, we returned to the center, gave back the bikes and picked up our supper items from the car. I also forgot to mention that the bikes were very useful way of transportation of all the items we didn't need in the hostel. We made several trips. After supper we enjoyed a well-deserved rest. We went down to the beach to watch the sunset and then called it a day. We were both exhausted.
