This morning we prepared to drive to the Pierced Rock - one of the biggest natural arcs in the word! The road there was about an hour and a half, we passed the center of the town of Percé. I wasn't disappointed of this road - lots of turns, hills, valleys, covered with little villages and local stores.

We got there without any problems and found parking near the main street. Everywhere I looked, it was full of "tourist traps" - store, restaurants, tour operators...typical for any tourist town.
We walked directly towards the bay where we could view the Pierced Rock and admire its beauty.

The name of the rock comes from the hole in its structure. Many years ago, there were two holes, some even say three but part of the rock falls during the 1800 and completely destroys the second hole. During low tide you can walk right up to the base of the rock.
