We left early in the morning to be on time for our whale watching cruise. The view of the bay of Grande Greve was spectacular! We checked in quickly and had a pause of 15 minutes before getting our raincoats and boarding the cruise. I was very excited as this was our first boat trip together we left on time and the ride was quite enjoyable. Not long after, someone spotted a big spouts of water and we were told there is a big whale nearby. We managed to see if come out to the surface a few times but didn't see its complete length. It was a fin whale - the second largest after the blue whale. There were a lot of people piled on the good side of the boat and I couldn't get a decent picture but I managed to snap a few small shots of the whale.

After the trip ended, we came back to the camp spot for lunch. We decided to go look for ice after we finished lunch and this meant that we have to drive back to Cap des Rosiers asked the park info center didn't have any ice. We drove almost up to L'anse au griffon and couldn't find any place that looked like a store so we turned around. On our way back we stopped at the lighthouse of Cap des Rosiers. Our first goal was to ask about ice but we ended up getting a visit of the lighthouse. It was quite interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable. We learned quite a few things like the fact that the lighthouse keepers change depending on which polytical party is in charge or that every lighthouse has a light pattern signature. Another interesting fact was that the hight of the lighthouse depended of the hight of the rock that it is on - the higher the rock is, the shorter the lighthouse is. We also saw the enormous sound system in case of a fog and went up the nine floors of the lighthouse - it was 34 meters high– the highest lighthouse of Canada. It was my first time going inside of a lighthouse and I really enjoyed the visit!
